NEC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hunter Ray, FDU
So., OF
Woodbine, NJ/Lower Cape May Regional

Winning his league-high third NEC Player of the Week honor, Ray led FDU to another unbeaten weekend in what has been a record-breaking season for the Knights. In its conference series against Central Connecticut, FDU reached a program record 22 NEC victories on the season. Ray batted .409 (9-for-22) through four games last week, while hitting four over the fence with three of his homers coming in Friday’s 14-4 victory over CCSU. The senior right fielder also scored four runs and drove seven more along with cracking two doubles throughout the week. The Woodbine, NJ native finished the week with a 1.503 OPS off a 1.045 slugging percentage and a 1.503 OPS. Ray leads the conference in slugging percentage (.845), OPS (1.326), hits (72), RBIs (71), home runs (26) and at bats (193). Ray has also set FDU single-season program records in home runs, RBIs and total bases. Additionally, his 26 homers are a NEC single-season record. The Knights are currently atop the conference standings with a 22-5 mark. Ray is the first Knights to take home multiple NEC Player of the Week honors in the same season since Justin Sierra in 2022.

NEC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Colin Trizuto, Wagner
Sr., RHP
San Mateo, CA/Aragon
In Friday’s 15-1 victory over Delaware State, Trizuto pitched a complete 7.0 innings to lead Wagner to a win. Rifling off 83 pitches, the senior righty allowed just two hits and one earned run, while punching out four batters. Trizuto produced three 1-2-3 innings to start the game along with striking out all three batters in the third. It was his second complete game of the season as he limited the Hornets to a .105 batting average through 25 batters faced. Trizuto leads the conference in innings pitched (68.2) and is tied for second with five victories on the season. The Seahawks are currently 19-8 in NEC play. This marks his second NEC Pitcher of the Week award of the season, making him the first Seahawks hurler to obtain the accolade multiple times in a season since Austin Goeke completed the feat in 2017.
