Kate Ackerman, Niagara

Ackerman pieced together an excellent performance at the Northeast Classic for No.8 ranked Niagara. The Castleton, NY native placed ninth in a field loaded with the nation's best teams. Ackerman posted a 21.88 frame average and converted 87 percent of her spare attempts. In Baker play, the sophomore bowled 48 frames and posted a 21.6 frame average with 11 strikes. Ackerman's efforts helped the No. 8 Purple Eagles knock off the likes of No. 9 Mount St. Mary's, No. 12 Wright State, No. 22 Duquesne and No. 25 Central Missouri.
NEC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Taylor Miller, Duquesne

Miller earned her NEC-leading third Rookie of the Week award off the back of a respectable 75th place individual finish in a field of 229 bowlers. She registered an 18.46 frame average in traditional play and a fill percentage of 90. In Baker, Miller averaged 17.99 per frame and recorded a 79.1 fill percentage. Miller helped No. 22 Duquesne earn marquee wins over No. 4 Nebraska, No. 7 Youngstown State, No. 14 Sam Houston State and Central Missouri.

18th place at Northeast Classic, 212.80 traditional average, total traditional pinfall of 1,064, bowled a 256 against Sam Houston State and a 227 against No. 6 Wichita State.
Emma Sierkierski, DUQ (Sr.)
47th place at Northeast Classic, 198.80 traditional average, 92 percent fill percentage in traditional and 91.9 percent in Baker, 8.98 first ball average in traditional and 9.03 in Baker, bowled a 228 against both Wichita State and Sam Houston State.
Kate Ackerman, NIAG (So.)
Ninth place at Northeast Classic, 218.80 average in traditional play, traditional total pinfall of 1,094. bowled a 237 against No. 3 Arkansas State and a 224 against Central Missouri. Named to the Second All-Tournament Team.
Abbie Derby, NIAG (So.)
29th at Northeast Classic, 206.60 traditional average, traditional total pinfall of 1,033, bowled a 279 vs. Arkansas State, the highest game score of any bowler at the tournament.
