NEC BOWLER OF THE WEEK

Brock collected her second consecutive NEC Bowler of the Week accolade with an impressive showing at the Chelsea Gilliam Penguin Classic over the weekend. The Orchard Park, NY native finished fifth in the individual standings and made the All-Tournament Team in a meet that saw nine of the top-25 teams in the country attend, including five of the top six. Brock posted a 229.4 traditional average and averaged 21.8 pins per frame in Baker play. The senior played a key role in Niagara's eighth place finish that included two wins over No. 14 Mount St. Mary's and a victory against No. 20 Wright State;
 
NEC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Taylor Miller, Duquesne
Fr., Lititz, PA/Warwick

Miller got her collegiate career off to a strong start with her debut at the Chelsea Gilliam Penguin Classic. Helping Duquesne to a ninth-place finish in a loaded field, Miller posted a 180.8 traditional average to finish 46th overall and registered the highest score of any Duquesne player at the tournament, bowling a 242 against No. 6 Arkansas State. She filled 81.2 percent of her frames, averaged 8.83 on her first ball and recorded an 18.86 frame average in Baker play. Miller helped the Dukes go 7-6 at the premier event and record wins agianst No. 14 Mount St. Mary's and No. 21 Valparaiso.
