NEC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Pietro Maria Piccoli, FDU
Fr., Verona, Italy/Montverde Academy
Piccoli led FDU during the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge as the Knights impressed among a competitive field. The freshman shot one-under (74-71-70) across three rounds to place tied for 13th out of 90 golfers. Piccoli finished the weekend with a league-best 71.7 stroke average. As a team, FDU placed seventh out of the 16 teams at the competition. Piccoli continues his strong freshman season as he was previously named NEC Golfer of the Month in October.

NEC WOMEN’S CO-GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
Lauren Iannetta, Mercyhurst
Fr., Eastlake, OH
Competing at the YSU Spring Invitational, Iannetta placed second amongst a competitive 39-golfer field. The freshman shot eight-over (78-74) across two rounds of play to lead Mercyhurst to a second-place team finish. On the week, the Eastlake, OH native posted a 76.0 stroke average at the Youngstown State-hosted event. Iannetta is the first Laker to take home NEC Golfer of the Week honors since Mercyhurst joined the conference as a full member in 2024.

Gabriella Aya, New Haven
Fr., Bogota, Colombia/Colegio Anglo Colobiano
Aya won the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational over the weekend after shooting just seven-over (79-72) across two rounds on a Par-72 course. The freshman won the individual title out of a 33-athlete field and led New Haven to second place showing in the team standings. Making its debut as a NEC member this season, Aya is the first Charger to claim NEC Golfer of the Week accolades.
