NEC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Competing at the 2026 Peoples Championship hosted by Western Carolina, Singh Bhatia finished an impressive tied fourth out of 123 golfers. The reigning NEC Golfer of the Year completed the event six-under par with 69.0 stroke average across three rounds for the Sharks. As a team, LIU finished ninth out of 21 squads. This is the junior’s third career NEC Golfer of the Week award and first of the spring season. Singh Bhatia was also named September Golfer of the Month this past fall.
NEC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Durette won the ASU Spring Classic on March 10 – leading the way of a 1-2-3 finish for Howard at the Alabama State-hosted competition. The sophomore shot three-over par across three rounds, including an impressive 71 (-1) second round. She finished the week with 73.0 stroke average. The Bison won the meet by 67 strokes out of seven teams. This is Durette’s first career NEC Golfer of the Week selection. It also marks the third consecutive week that a Bison golfer has claimed the honor.
