NEC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Perez has put together an impressive spring campaign for Howard so far this season with him claiming the Colin Montgomerie-HCU Invitational individual title last week. The junior shot an astound 17-under (64-65-70) to finish first out of 84 golfers at the Houston Christian-hosted event. As a team, the Bison won the team title by 13 strokes out of the 15 squads that competed. Additionally, Perez shot seven-over (72-77-74) at The N.I.T, hosted by Arizona, to place tied for 61st among an elite field. This is Perez’s first career NEC Golfer of the Week honor.
NEC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Paris Fieldings, Howard
Jr., Chesapeake, VA/Enlightium Academy (North Carolina A&T State)
Fieldings posted a fourth-place finish at the Lady Bison Spring Invitational over the weekend. The junior shot 11-over (72-73-79) at the Howard-hosted event to earn top five finish in the field of 67 competitors. The Bison came in second in the team standings as 13 squads vied for the crown during the two-day competition. Fieldings was previously tabbed NEC Golfer of the Month this past October.
