NEC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Aiyanna Culver, Chicago State
Guard, Sophomore, 5-3, Queens, NY/Christ the King
Culver picked up right where she left off after a dazzling 2024-25 freshman campaign. Averaging 22.3 points per game last week, the sophomore guard’s three performances were highlighted by a 33-point outing in Chicago State’s 59-54 win over Winthrop on Wednesday. Culver drained four three-pointers in the win, while shooting an efficient 11-16 from the field. The Preseason All-NEC pick added an 18-point performance in CSU's season opener at Cleveland State along with scoring 16 on the road against No. 15 Notre Dame to close out the week. Culver was one of seven NCAA DI players to score 33 or more points in a game during the opening week of the season. The All-NEC second team honoree added four steals while 2.67 three-pointers and 2.0 rebounds per game last week. Culver also went 15-18 from the charity stripe. A five-time NEC Rookie of the Week last season, the Queens, NY native earnedher first NEC Player of the Week award.
Kadidia Toure, LIU
Forward, Junior, 6-3, Silver Spring, MD/Our Lady of Good Counsel (Arizona State/James Madison)
Making a statement in her LIU debut, Toure dropped the first double-double by an NEC player this season, scoring a career-high 26 points and grabbing 10 boards in LIU’s 75-60 win at Northeastern in Neil Harrow's coaching debut. Tallying 15 of her 26 points in the first half, Toure was extremely efficient from the field, nailing 10 of her 14 (.714) shots. The Silver Spring, MD native was a force on defense as well, producing two blocks as the Sharks forced the Huskies into 20 turnovers. Toure was one of just three NEC player to notch a double-double last week. The Arizona State and James Madison transfer became the first Shark to earn NEC Player of the Week accolades since Sirviva Legions on December 2, 2024.
NEC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kayden Clark, Le Moyne
Guard, Freshman, 5-8, Oakhurst, NJ/Manasquan
Making her collegiate debut, Clark shined in a 1-1 opening week for Le Moyne. The freshman guard averaged 15.5 points per game on 12-of-16 (.750) shooting from the field, drilled seven three-pointers and grabbed 5.0 boards per game. Clark netted 17 points and pulled down seven rebounds during the Dolphins’ thrilling 82-79 overtime road victory over Patriot League foe Lafayette on Sunday. In the first game of her college career, the Oakhurst, NJ native racked up 14 points while shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc during a road setback against in-state rival St. John’s. This marked the third straight season a Le Moyne player has earned am NEC Rookie of the Week honor.
NEC PRIME PERFORMERS
Lucia Noin, CCSU (Sr., F)
In Central Connecticut's season opener, Noin scored a team-high 18 points, snagged four rebounds, made two three-pointers and added a steal in the Blue Devils' setback at Bryant.

Culver, a Preseason All-NEC selection, racked up 33 points in Chicago State's 59-54 win against Winthrop, while averaging 22.3 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 1.0 apg and 1.3 spg, while draining eight three-pointers over three games last week. Culver was tabbed NEC Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Ashley Buragas, LEM (Jr., F)
Buragas notched 20 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in Le Moyne 82-79 OT win at Lafayette, becoming the first NEC player to record a 20-20 double double since Merrimack's Denia Davis-Stewart on February 21, 2020. Her 22 boards were the most by a NEC player since SFU's Jada Dapaa snared 23 against Sacred Heart on January 23, 2022. She averaged 14.0 ppg and 12.5 rpg in a 1-1 week for the Dolphins.
Kayden Clark, LEM (Fr., G)
Clark's impressive debut week earned her NEC Rookie of the Week accolades after posting week averages of 15.5 points and 5.0 rebounds while going 7-of-10 from beyond the arc.
Laura Molnárová, LIU (So., G)
In a 1-1 week for LIU, Molnárová was key down the stretch during LIU's 75-60 victory at Northeastern, knocking down back-to-back three's to extend LIU's lead during a Huskie comeback bid. In the win, she scored 12 points, nabbed five rebounds and drained two three-pointers. Later in the week, the sophomore guard netted 14 points, pulled down four boards, dished three assists and went 4-of-7 from beyond the arc in a nail-biting 79-72 defeat at American Athletic Conference preseason favorite South Florida.
Kadidia Toure, LIU (Jr., F)
Posting a 26-point, 10- rebound double-double in a 75-60 win against CAA opponent Northeastern, Toure scored 15 of her game-high 26 points in the first half in her LIU debut. She shot 10-of-14 from the field and was named NEC Co-Player of the Week.
Aleah James, SFU (Gr., G)
James averaged 15 ppg, 4.5 apg and 2.5 rpg. The UMES transfer set new career-highs against A-10 rivals with 17 points at Duquesne and eight assists at La Salle. Additionally, James went 5-of-8 from behind the three-point line.
Keana Foz, WAG (So., G)
Foz, a sophomore guard, scored 15 points and snagged four boards on the road against Big Ten rival Rutgers. Foz added one steal while shooting 5-of-7 from the free throw line in the setback.
