Making a statement in her LIU debut, Toure dropped the first double-double by an NEC player this season, scoring a career-high 26 points and grabbing 10 boards in LIU’s 75-60 win at Northeastern in Neil Harrow's coaching debut. Tallying 15 of her 26 points in the first half, Toure was extremely efficient from the field, nailing 10 of her 14 (.714) shots. The Silver Spring, MD native was a force on defense as well, producing two blocks as the Sharks forced the Huskies into 20 turnovers. Toure was one of just three NEC player to notch a double-double last week. The Arizona State and James Madison transfer became the first Shark to earn NEC Player of the Week accolades since Sirviva Legions on December 2, 2024.
