NEC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Konni Hofmann, Fairfield
Sr., F/M, Dusseldorf, Germany
Hofmann found the back of the cage three times in two games last week. Keeping Fairfield’s undefeated conference season alive, the senior scored twice in a 5-2 win over LIU on Friday. The Germany native added another goal during the Stags’ 3-2 setback against in-state rival UConn two days later. Hofmann is tied for third in the NEC with 11 goals, and ranks fourth in points (26) and points per game (1.53). Fairfield is 8-0 in NEC play, setting the stage for a battle with fellow unbeaten Saint Francis on Friday for the league’s regular season crown and the top seed in the upcoming conference tournament. Hofmann became the third Stag to earn NEC Offensive Player of the Week honors this season.

Sofia Marciano Saint Francis
So., M, Buenos Aires, Argentina/Del Viso Day School
Maricano turned her third hat trick of the season in Saint Francis’ 4-0 win at New Haven last Friday. With four minutes left in the first frame, the sophomore midfielder scored the Red Flash’s first goal of the game. The Argentina native would go on to score more two more times in the final quarter to ice the game for SFU. Marciano’s 19 goals this season lead the league while her 40 points and 2.35 points per game both rank second. She is also eighth nationally in goals per game and 12th in points per game. SFU improved to 8-0 against conference opponents with fellow unbeaten Fairfield looming this Friday afternoon in a winner-take-all game for the NEC regular season title. This marked Maricano’s second NEC Offensive Player of the Week nod in 2025, with her first coming on September 30.

NEC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Isabelle Gardiner, Merrimack
Sr., GK, Herfordshire, United Kingdom/Presdales
In Merrimack’s 3-1 conference win over Rider, Gardiner was clutch for the Warriors in net. The senior made 11 saves while allowing just one goal in the victory. Gardiner held the Broncs scoreless through the final 57:33 of the contest, while posting a .917 save percentage and a 1.00 GAA in the win. Led by Gardiner, the Warrior defense conceded just one score from 18 Rider penalty corners. Six of her 11 saves came in the second half. NEC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kaelyn Fogelson, Fairfield
Fr., F, Norwalk, CT/Norwalk

Earning her second NEC Rookie of the Week award, Fogelson totaled four points off two goals in two games last week. During the Stags' 5-2 win over LIU on Friday, the freshman forward slashed her way down the backline to find the back of the cage in the third quarter to make it a 3-1 Fairfield advantage. Fogelson added the Stags’ first goal on Sunday to cut into a 2-0 UConn lead in the fourth. The Norwalk, CT native leads all NEC freshmen with seven goals and 17 points.
