NEC SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ayden Stone, FDU

Stone had multiple hits in two of FDU’s five games and helped lead the Knights to two wins last week. Opening the stretch with a perfect 3-for-3 effort in a 3-2 defeat to North Dakota on Friday (March 6), she closed out the weekend with a bang against Norfolk State on Sunday (March 8). Against the Spartans, she went 2-for-4, drove in the first two runs of the game in the first and third frames and scored one run in the latter inning to propel FDU to the 7-6 triumph. She is the second FDU player to earn NEC Player of the Week honors, joining Celeste Quezada, who earned the award on Feb. 24.

Dollard became the second FDU pitcher this season to take home NEC Pitcher of the Week honors, joining MaryJane Limon, who earned the honor on Feb. 24. In her lone appearance of the week, the sophomore hurler went the distance, allowing just one earned run on three hits and three walks to lead the Knights to a 3-1 win over Norfolk State on Saturday. In addition, the Egg Township Harbor, NJ native induced three groundouts and nine fly outs while fanning nine batters. 
  
NEC SOFTBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Kayla Dunkerley, Le Moyne 
Left Field, Freshman, Purcellville, VA/Louden Valley
Last Week’s Stats: .308 AVG (4-for-14), .462 SLG%, .357 OB%, 1 R, 2 RBI, 2 2B, 1 BB
Dunkerley became the second Dolphin this season to walk away with an NEC Rookie of the Week award. The Virginia native batted .308 and posted a .357 on-base percentage after she went 4-for-13 at the. A leftfielder, Dunkerley combined to bat 3-for-6 with two doubles, two RBI and one run in a two-game sweep of Lafayette on Saturday and Sunday.
