After combining for two hits and an RBI through her first eight games as a collegian, Hood enjoyed a breakout weekend for Saint Francis at the Battle of the Bay, which was hosted by Hampton. The first-year infielder combined for a .583 batting average after she went 7-for-12 at the plate. In addition, Hood, who added one walk to sport a .615 on-base percentage, doubled twice for a .750 slugging percentage. She got her weekend going on a strong note, driving in two runs behind a 2-for-2 outing at the plate vs. Quinnipiac on Friday (Feb. 20). Launching her first career double against the Bobcats, an RBI double down the right field line, the Keystone State native hit another two-bagger against Maine on Saturday (Feb. 21). She enters Saint Francis’ fourth weekend tournament — a five-game set in San Antonio, TX — riding a career-long four-game hitting streak.
