NEC WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Izzy Gomez, Sr., M/F., Wagner
Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah
Gomez played a key role in Wagner's 4-3 win over Stonehill on Sunday afternoon. The senior netted a brace against the Skyhawks coming off the bench, scoring the first and fourth Wagner goals. Gomez has tallied seven points this season and is currently fifth in the league in points per game with .88. The Mahwah, NJ native is an important piece of a Wagner attack that is currently tied for second in the NEC in goals scored (18) and are in the thick of the playoff race entering the middle portion of the conference campaign.
NEC WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Keely Thomas, R-Jr., GK, LIU
Richmond, VA/Maggie L. Walker Governor's School
Thomas has been one of the top-performing goalkeepers in the NEC so far this season and continued her successful campaign last week. The Richmond, VA product made 15 saves in a 1-0-1 week for the Sharks, helping LIU stay unbeaten in conference play. Thomas, who turned away a season-high 10 shots in a 2-1 win over Stonehill on Thursday, maintained a save percentage of .882 for the week and allowed just a goal in each match. The redshirt junior is second in the league in save percentage (.815) and third in goals against average (1.11). Thomas has aided the Sharks to a 3-0-2 start to NEC play that sees them sitting second in the table. Thomas has now been named NEC Defensive Player of the Week twice so far this season, with the first time being on September 2.
NEC WOMEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Dani Lomuscio Fr., F, Stonehill
Wrentham, MA/King Philip
Lomuscio earned NEC Rookie of the Week after helping Stonehill nearly climb out of a 4-1 hole against Wagner on Sunday. Despite losing the match 4-3, Lomuscio assisted on the first goal of the match to give the Skyhawks an early lead, and scored her first collegiate goal in the 62nd minute to cut Wagner's lead to one. The freshman has four points this season from a goal and two assists.
NEC PRIME PERFORMERS
Melina Ford, Jr., GK., Central Connecticut
Ford kept her third consecutive clean sheet in Central Connecticut's 1-0 win over Saint Francis on Sunday. The junior is tied with Wagner's Shae McGinty for the NEC lead in shutouts with three apiece. Ford earned her second Prime Performer recognition in a row.
Nicole Cargill, Sr., F., Delaware State
Cargill scored a brace against Howard on Sunday and nearly dug Delaware State out of a 3-0 deficit. The senior moves into a tie for third in the NEC for goals scored, netting five so far this year.
Gabriella Garcia-Terrell, So., F., Howard
Garcia-Terrell scored two of Howard's three goals against Delaware State on Sunday. The two-time NEC Player of the Week sits second on the NEC goals chart with eight and ranks third with 16 points.

NEC Defensive Player of the Week
Rylee Kumer, So., GK., Mercyhurst
Kumer kept a clean sheet against Le Moyne on Thursday afternoon and allowed Mercyhurst to grind out a 1-0 win, its first of the season. The sophomore made eight saves in that match. For the week, Kumer tallied 15 saves and posted an .882 save percentage.
Emma Sawich, Sr., GK., Saint Francis U
Sawich made 15 saves last week and maintained an .882 save percentage. Of the 15 saves, 13 came in a 1-0 loss to Central Connecticut on Sunday. It was the third time this season that Sawich has made at least 10 saves in a match.
Hannah Anselmo, Sr., F., Stonehill
Anselmo continued her chase for the NEC Golden Boot with a five point week. Despite a pair of losses, Anselmo assisted on the lone Skyhawks goal against LIU and scored the first two goals against Wagner. The senior leads the NEC in points (19) and goals (9), with the latter setting a career-high for Anselmo.
Alana Goldsmith, Jr., M., Wagner
Goldsmith had two goal contributions in Wagner's win over Stonehill last week, scoring one and assisting on another. Those two goal involvements came just 64 seconds apart, as Goldsmith assisted on Izzy Gomez's equalizer in the 27th minute and then gave Wagner the lead in the 28th.
