Thomas has been one of the top-performing goalkeepers in the NEC so far this season and continued her successful campaign last week. The Richmond, VA product made 15 saves in two matches last week, helping LIU stay unbeaten in conference play. Thomas maintained a save percentage of .882 for the week and allowed just a goal in each match. The redshirt junior is second in the league in save percentage (.815) and third in goals against average (1.11). She has kept a save percantage of at least .833 on four occasions this season, including both of last week's fixtures. Thomas has aided the Sharks to a 3-0-2 start to NEC play that sees them sitting second in the table. Thomas has now been named NEC Defensive Player of the Week twice so far this season, with the first time being on Sep. 2.
