NEC MEN'S SOCCER CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Arnau Rabassa Guillamon, Sr., M, FDU
Llavaneres, Barcelona, Spain/INS Llavaneres (Central Connecticut)
Rabassa Guillamon played an instrumental role in FDU’s 5-0 win at Stonehill to help the Knights remain the NEC’s last unbeaten team in conference play. Just before halftime, the senior midfielder rifled the ball into the bottom right corner off a pass from Takuto Nishide to make it a 3-0 FDU advantage after 45 minutes. Rabassa Guillamon made it a brace in the 68th minute on a swift counter for the Knights. Chipping the ball over the scrambling Stonehill defense, he made it a 4-0 lead. This was the Spain native’s first multi-goal game of the season and he ranks second in the league’s golden boot race with five goals on the year. FDU improved to 4-0-1 in conference play. Rabassa Guillamon was previously named NEC Co-Player of the Week on September 8.

Zach Simmmons, So., M, Howard
Rockwall, TX/Rockwall HS
Simmons tallied four points in a 2-0 week for Howard. In the 39th minute against undefeated Saint Francis, the sophomore midfielder found the back of the net to give the Bison a 1-0 advantage that they hold onto for the win on Sunday. Simmons also assisted on two of Howard’s goals in its 4-1 Thursday night victory over Chicago State. Howard improved to 3-3 against conference opponents and the Bison sit in third place in the league standings with nine points. Simmons became Howard’s first NEC Player of the Week honoree since Mason Christian won the award on September 30, 2024, while Simmons claimed NEC Rookie of the Week laurels in that same week.

NEC MEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Naim Robinson, R-Fr., M, Howard
Detroit, MI/Blue Valley North HS
Earning his second NEC Rookie of the Week on the year, Robinson scored one goal and dished out two assists in a 2-0 week for the Bison. On Thursday night, the redshirt freshman tallied three points in Howard’s 4-1 win against Chicago State. Robinson provided the assist on Jude Spallinger’s score to put the Bison up 2-0 late in the first half, then iced the match with the final goal in the 73rd minute. The Detroit native also produced the assist on Simmons’ game-winning goal against Saint Francis on Sunday afternoon. Robinson is tied for second in the NEC with four assists.
