NEC CROSS COUNTRY MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Brendan Wilder, Stonehill
Sr., Waltham, MA/Waltham
Wilder started his 2026 campaign with a winning effort at the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational on Saturday. The Waltham, MA native topped the 51-runner field with a 15:20.1 result over 5K. Wilder bested runners from the likes of Bryant, Rhode Island, and Merrimack. His efforts contributed in a big way to Stonehill's second place team finish at the meet, falling just three points shy of Rhode Island in first.
NEC CROSS COUNTRY MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ronald Ciaccia, Wagner
Fr., Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge
Ciaccia opened his collegiate career with a top-10 finish at The Back to the Bowl Invite on Saturday. The Old Bridge, NJ product placed ninth in a field of 99 runners, crossing the finish line of the 5K course at 17:02.3. Ciaccia was the second-fastest Wagner runner at the event.
NEC CROSS COUNTRY WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jordan Malloy, Stonehill
Gr., Colchester, CT/Bacon Academy
Malloy maintained her All-Conference standard at the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational, placing third in a field of 57 runners. The two-time All-NEC honoree completed the 5K course in 18:28.50 and guided Stonehill to a third place team finish in its season opener.

Florio-Marinello had a strong start to her freshman campaign over the weekend. She was the top freshman runner at the meet and clocked in at 18:54.7.
