NEC MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

In his first two collegiate matches, Doherty tallied five points in a pair of home victories for Stonehill. During the Skyhawks’ season opener, Doherty broke a 2-2 stalemate in the 68^th minute to propel Stonehill to a 3-2 victory over Atlantic-10 opponent Rhode Island. The freshman forward’s score came off a scramble in front of the goal after a corner kick from the Skyhawks. Doherty rifled it into the left corner after a set up from Max Bilbie. Just 26 seconds into the contest against the Rams, the Braintree, MA native sent a through ball to senior captain Chris Hines as he put the Skyhawks ahead early. Doherty netted his second game-winning goal of the week in Sunday’s 1-0 triumph over CAA foe Northeastern where he broke through with three seconds left in the first half. A long pass from Griffith Brubaker set up Doherty in stride to dribble through the Huskie defense and give Stonehill a lead it would not surrender until the final whistle. Doherty is the first-ever Skyhawk to take home both NEC Player and Rookie of the Week awards in the same week.  He is also the first Stonehill freshman to be tabbed NEC Rookie of the Week since 2024. Stonehill is out to a 2-0 start for the first time in their Division I era.

Netted the match-tying goal in the 64th minute during CCSU's 3-2 victory over Manhattan.

Jaran Klevberg, 2nd, D, CCSU
Netted the game-winning score to cap off a two-goal comeback and clinch the Blue Devils' 3-2 win season-opening win against the Jaspers. 

Matheus Franca, Sr., GK, FDU
Posted a clean sheet while making five saves during FDU's scoreless draw against Saint Peter's on Friday night.

Rhys Allport, Jr., F, LEM
Rifled off the game-winning goal from beyond the 18-yard box during a 1-0 win over Canisius. Helped lead Le Moyne to a 2-0 start to year.

Selected NEC Player of the Week and NEC Rookie of the Week.

Felix van der Hagen, So., GK, STO
Played 180 minutes in goal during Stonehill's 2-0 week. Made 15 stops and allowed just two goals, while putting together a clean sheet against Northeastern. Finished the week with a 1.00 GAA and a .882 save percentage off 29 shots faced.
