Bridgewater, NJ -- 28 (14 men, 14 women) NEC Track & Field/ Cross Country student-athletes from five different institutions were tabbed to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams, which were announced on Tuesday, June 23.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, on the course and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Wednesday, July 15.
Of the 28 student-athletes that earned the distinction, one stood above the rest as Central Connecticut's
Greyson Golda was the lone NEC student-athlete to be selected as an Academic All-America finalist. Golda had an impressive sophomore campaign as he earned the NEC Outdoor Most Valuable Performer award and was selected as the Most Outstanding Field Performer (Throws) as both the indoor and outdoor meets.
The remaining honorees were highlighted by men's and women's cross country individual winners
Mark Rodriguez of CCSU and Wagner's
Rylee Ferretti. In addition to take home the individual conference crowns, both Rodriguez and Ferretti were each tabbed NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in their respective sports.
Women's indoor track & field NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Nuchwara Inthasit from CCSU garnered the distinction, while men's outdoor track & field scholar-athlete
Christopher Milillo of Wagner did, as well. Adittionally, Inthasit was tabbed Co-Most Outstanding Track Performer (Sprints) at this past year's indoor championship.
