Game 6 of the NEC Baseball Championship is currently scheduled for 3:00 pm on Saturday. If Saturday’s game is postponed due to inclement weather, Game 6 and, if necessary, Game 7 will be played Sunday at 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm, respectively. Should Game 6 be completed Saturday and an additional game be necessary, Game 7 would be played Sunday at 12:00 pm.

Augusta, GA -- Second-seeded Wagner stayed alive at the 2026 NEC Baseball Championship behind a dominant complete-game effort from
Colin Trizuto in the tournament’s first elimination game on Friday at Skylands Stadium in August, NJ.
The Seahawks defeated fourth-seeded Le Moyne, 11-1, after seven innings in a run-rule game.
Joseph Mennella hit a walk-off RBI single to deep center to clinch the victory for the Seahawks as
Lukas Torres scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
An All-NEC second teamer, Trizuto set the tone for Wagner (29-23), going the distance for the second time this season, surrendeing just one run on six hits. The San Mateo, CA native added two strikeouts to win his fifth game of the year.
Sophomore
Jayden Alvarez started the scoring barrage in the second, cracking a ground rule double to left that hopped the fence to bring in Wagner’s first two runs of the contest.
In the third, junior outfielder
Jackson Blakley found the gap in left center to bring
Nicholas Mazzotta home and extend the Seahawks’ lead to 3-0.
Wagner broke the game wide open with a five-run fourth inning. Torres, a All-Conference first teamer, smacked a single to deep center to drive in Alvarez.
Matt Sutera followed with a two-run homer to left. Mazzotta capped the inning with a single to deep left field while getting some help from a Le Moyne error to bring home two runners and make it an 8-0 Wagner advantage.
The Seahawks tacked on the runs in the bottom of the sixth on an Immel single and a throwing error as Wagner lengthened its advantate to 10-0.
Le Moyne (22-26) got on the board in the top of the seventh on
Mike Whelehan's sacrifice fly to center that plated
Robert Wegrzyn.
Both Immel and Mennella went 2-for-4 for Wagner, while Sutera, Mazzotta and Alvarez each registered a pair of RBIs.

Luke VanMarter went 3.1 innings and yielded six runs on five hits.
The Dolphins season came to an end after making the program's first-ever appearance in the NEC Tournament.

Augusta, NJ -- For the third consecutive year, top-seeded LIU is headed to the championship round of the NEC Basketball Tournament.
The Sharks reached Saturday's NEC final iafter a commanding 10-3 victory over second-seeded FDU in the winner’s bracket game on Friday afternoon at Skylands Stadium in Sussex, NJ.
Veteran ace
Justin DeCastro always seems to shine brightest on the league’s biggest stage, and he delivered again today for LIU (29-20). The senior righthander threw an astounding 152 pitches in a gritty nine-inning complete game, working around nine hits and five walks while allowing just three runs against one of the nation’s most prolific offenses. A 2024 NEC second team all-star, DeCastro fanned three batters on his way to his seventh victory on the season.
It was LIU’s offense that was hot from the jump, but truly hit its stride during the middle innings.
The Sharks put up three spots in back-to-back innings to build a six-run lead heading into the fifth. Designated hitter
Mike Polubinski recorded two of his three RBIs during that two inning stretch with a double to left in the third and a sacrifice fly to right in the fourth. LIU also scored an unearned run off an error in the fifth.
Senior catcher
Joe Durso cemented the Sharks’ lead as he cracked a two-run moon shot to left center in the sixth that boosted LIU’s run total to 10 and an eight-run lead.
The Knights struck first as NEC Player of the Year
Hunter Ray brought the boom from the jump with a homer to left field just one out into the game. The dinger was Ray's second of the tournament and 30th of the year to extend his FDU and NEC single-season record. The 30 round-trippers also ranks second nationally.
FDU (33-19-1) added single runs in the sixth and seventh innings, but DeCastro shut the door on any comeback attempt, keeping the Knights off the board the last two frames.

Ryan Rivera each notched two-hit showings for the Sharks.

Diego Urreta went 2-for-4 at the plate along with one run scored.
Two-way player
Jeremy Cheeseman took the mound as the Knights’ starting pitcher and went 3.2 innings before giving way to the bullpen.
The Knights moved on to a rematch with Wagner in Friday night’s elimination game at 8:15 pm.
LIU advances to its third straight title game and its eighth overall as the Sharks are eyeing their fourth conference title.

Augusta, NJ -- Chaos ensued in the nightcap of day two at the 2026 NEC Baseball Championship as second-seeded FDU won an 11-10 thriller against third-seeded Wagner in the second elimination game of the day.
The Knights (34-19-1) walked it off as
Jeremy Cheeseman scored on a wild pitch to cap a stunning seven-run, late-inning comeback by FDU in one of the wildest games in NEC Tournament history.
The longtime rivals traded blows in the final innings as the Knights erased a 7-0 deficit, scoring six runs in the seventh and four more in the eighth to take a 10-8 lead. FDU drew 19 walks in the game and was hit three times.
But Wagner’s
Nicholas Mazzotta wasted no time evening the score, launching a clutch two-run home run to left in the top of the ninth to tie it at 10-all and set the stage for the walkoff as the clock struck midnight.
Wagner (29-24) controlled the rhythm of the game early as it jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, sparked by
Dylan Immel's first homer of the season in the top of the second, which was followed by two more runs off a sacrifice fly and a single to right center.
The Seahawks added single runs the third and fifth.
Diego Tavarez also launched his first homer of the year, a shot to right in top of the fifth inning. Tavarez stepped up again in the sixth with an RBI single to center following
Lukas Torres' double to left.
Needing to erase a seven-run deficit, FDU cut the lead to one after a wild seventh inning that saw the Knights score six runs on just two hits, aided by seven walks to set up a thrilling final two frames.
All-NEC first teamer
Joseph Mennella stemmed the momentum for Wagner with an RBI single to left that brought
Matt Sutera home to make it 8-6 in the eighth inning.
However, the Knights reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the eighth, drawing three more walks and adding a hit by pitch. Johnathan Gomez delivered the key hit, a single up the middle that made it 10-8 heading into the final inning.
Wagner starter
Justin Roitman tossed six scoreless innings before being tagged for four runs in the sixth. He went 6.2 innings, striking out nine while allowing five hits and nine walks.
After throwing 1.2 innings yesterday, NEC all-star reliever
Nick Noble came out of the bullpen for FDU and went 5.0 innings. He conceded eight hits and six runs, but earned his sixth win of the year.
Knights starter
Chris Mattioli hurled 4.0 innings and struck out five in a no decision.
Gomez led the way for FDU at the plate with a 2-for-3 outing along with three RBIs.
Wagner’s Mazzotta went 3-for-5 and drove in three runs for the Seahawks, while Tavarez and Mennella each recorded two hits.
Wagner’s season came to an end during its 18th appearance in the conference championship.
FDU advanced to its fourth-ever NEC title round and its first since 2016. The Knights are seeking to hoist the league trophy for the first time in program history.
