Duquesne’s Maribeth Baker & Niagara’s Emily Brock & Strike Again, Earn IBMA All-America Honors

4/17/2026

Bridgewater, NJ -- A pair of All-NEC First Team bowlers were once again tabbed as some of the country’s best talents by the International Bowling Media Association (IBMA) on April 16.

Duquesne’s Maribeth Baker was named to the IBMA All-America First Team, presented by Storm Bowling, while Niagara’s Emily Brock was a Second Team All-America nominee, presented by Storm Bowling. The honor was announced at the annual "Night of Champions" Banquet held alongside the Intercollegiate Team and Singles Championships in Green Bay, WI.

Baker, All-NEC first team selection in 2026, was sensational for Duquesne and helped the squad win its first ever NEC Championship campaign. The York, PA native had the league’s best Baker frame average (20.72), second-best overall strike percentage (54.2) fourth-best PCPI (84.70) during league meets. The junior was a key contributor for a Dukes team that placed third in their NCAA Regional.

Brock’s stellar session campaign not only earned her two All-America nods, but the 2026 NEC Bowler of the Year award and Co-MVP of the NEC Tournament as well. She also secured spots on the All-NEC First Team and NEC Championship All-Tournament Team. The veteran led the league in overall frame average (20.94) and strike percentage (54.8). Brock had the third-best PCPI (90.34) in the conference as well. The masterpiece of Brock’s season came in Niagara’s elimination match against Niagara in the NEC Tournament. She etched her name in the NEC women’s bowling history books by bowling a complete game, becoming the second student-athlete to ever achieve the feat.
Both Brock and Baker were named NTCA Second Team All-Americans earlier this month and listed as finalists for the IBMA Collegiate Bowler of the year last month.
