NEC WOMEN’S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Olivia Lockwood, Le Moyne
Attack, Redshirt Junior, Syracuse, NY/West Genesee (Onondaga CC)
Lockwood tied Le Moyne’s single-game Division I record for most goals in a game on Saturday when she found the back of the net eight times to propel the Dolphins to an 11-8 win at Presbyterian in their season opener. The redshirt junior attack bookended the halftime break with a plethora of goals as she accounted for five-straight Le Moyne goals before intermission to make it a 7-3 Dolphins’ advantage before she extended her personal run to 7-0 with three more scores throughout the third. Lockwood’s eight goals are the most by an NEC player this season and they are the most by a Dolphin since Brenna Bauer had eight at Southern Connecticut on Apr. 10, 2012.

NEC WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Carrie Bennett, Le Moyne
Midfield, Sophomore, Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa
Bennett wreaked havoc on the defensive side of the field for Le Moyne on Saturday. Causing three turnovers, she contributed to a Dolphins’ defensive effort that limited Presbyterian to just eight goals in an 11-8 triumph. In addition to her caused turnover total, Bennett added a pair of ground balls in the season-opening victory.

NEC WOMEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Amaya Monacelli, Central Connecticut
Attack, Freshman, Moscow, PA/North Pocono
Monacelli had a hand in half of the Blue Devils’ goals in her collegiate debut on Saturday against Iona. Finding the back of the net a team-best three times for her first career hat trick, the rookie attacker racked up four points in Central Connecticut’s season debut after she added an assist. Monacelli was one of two Blue Devils to net three goals, as she joined Grace McGann in turning the trick.
