Geneva, OH -- Howard showed once again showed why they are an NEC power, defending their Men's Swimming & Diving crown and securing their third title in four seasons at Spire Academy in Geneva, OH.

The Bison kept their championship window wide open, compiling 859 points over the course of the 2026 meet. Wagner finished as runner-up for the second straight year, tallying 787.5 points. Le Moyne slotted in third with 684.5 points and LIU came in fourth with 576 points.

While the Bison did not win any events on the final day, they did acquire two medals. Mason Green placed second in the 200 fly (1:49.13) and the Howard 400 free relay team finished third.

LIU set a meet record in the 400 free relay as the team of Mario Rodriguez Poulsen, Leandre Renault, Emilio Garcia and Polat Tasbasi blazed their way to 2:56.63 result, making the Sharks three-for-three in the freestyle relays at this year's meet. Rodriguez Poulsen, who won NEC Rookie of the Meet, split the 100 free gold medal with his teammate Garcia. Both Sharks swimmers touched the wall in 44.49. Renault came in third for an LIU sweep of the event. In addition to his contributions to the 400 free relay record, Tasbasi also set the new benchmark in the 200 breast. The junior put forth a 1:57.34 performance to win gold in that event.

LIU's Finn Drysdale repeated as NEC Outstanding Swimmer after a stellar effort across four days. In addition to his 500 free win, Drysdale set the NEC record in the 1650 free this evening with a final time of 15:35.80.

Wagner's Nikko Carrillo had a strong showing on the final day of the championships. He won the 200 back and 200 fly and was the top performer on a good day of results for the Green and White. Ben McLaughlin and Florian Schumich added silver in the 1650 free and 200 back, respectively. The Seahawks 400 free relay team made it three silver medals on the day to cap off a strong showing throughout the week.

Le Moyne produced three medalists on the final day. Owen Daniels finished third in the 200 back, while Lucas Clay and Neil Adamnski were the silver and bronze medalists in the 200 breast.

Howard's Zion Wilson and Le Moyne's Louis Allison were voted NEC Co-Outstanding Divers. Wilson won the 3-meter event, while Allison took first on the 1-meter board.
