NEC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE MONTH

Fresh off his 2025 NEC Golfer of the Year campaign, Bhatia picked up right where he left off as he posted a 70.6 stroke average in his first month of play. The junior put out his best performance of the month at the Ironwood Intercollegiate, hosted by East Carolina, where he finished third out of 84 golfers after shooting 8-under 208 (70-72-66) while leading LIU to a seventh-place team finish (-3) out of 15. The India native outshot compeition from schools like ECU and UCF, while finishing just two strokes behind the leader. Bhatia added a 3-over 145 (70-25) performance at the Fairfield-hosted Ryan Lee Memorial to finish tied-17^th in the field of 75. The Sharks finished fifth (+13) out of 15 squads at the competition. This marks Bhatia’s fourth career NEC Golfer of the Month/Week award.

NEC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE MONTH

Franklin shined on the course this September as she finished the month with a 74.0 stroke average through eight rounds. The senior started out with a second-place finish at the Bridgestone Collegiate Invite after shooting a 4-over 220 (75-72-73), while guiding the Bison to a second-place finish in the team standings. At the John Imes Invite hosted by Mizzou, Franklin came in tied for 18^th in a loaded field of 81 golfers that featured talent from the likes of Mizzou, Kentucky and Cincinnati. The Los Angeles native shot 4-over 148 (76-72) as Howard ranked seventh of 14 teams. Additionally, Franklin posted a 28^th-place finish after shooting 14-over 224 (74-77-73) at the individual Jackson T. Stephens Cup.
