Hackensack, NJ -- Following an unbeaten NEC regular season, FDU (27-3) has no plans to end the run now. The top-seeded Knights cruised past eighth-seeded LIU (6-24), 73-44, in the quarterfinals, taking the first step toward the program's first conference title since 1992. The Sharks had no answers for All-NEC first teamer Teneisia Brown, who delivered a dominant performance with 28 points - just two shy of her career high - and 12 rebounds for her league-leading 16th double-double of the season, and her 10th in as many games. LIU briefly cut the deficit to 38-30 midway through the third quarter, but FDU responded with a decisive 10-0 run to take an 18-point lead into the fourth. The Knights shot 52.6 percent from the floor, including a blistering 60.7 percent in the second half. Brianna Mead led LIU with 16 points, knocking down four of her seven attempts from beyond the arc.

Easton, MA -- Stonehill (16-14) made a statement in its first-ever NEC playoff win, leaving little doubt from the opening tip. The dynamic duo of Sharn Hayward and Brooke Paquette put on a show at Merkert Gymnasium, combining for 47 points in the second-seeded Skyhawks' commanding 72-50 victory over seventh-seeded Wagner (8-21). Stonehill wasted no time setting the tone, racing out to a 14-2 start and finishing the first quarter with a 23-8 lead. Paquette, named the NEC's Most Improved Player earlier in the day, was unstoppable early, scoring 15 of her 20 points in the opening frame. Hayward, a first-team All-NEC selection, caught fire in the second quarter, drilling three of her seven three-pointers on the night as she poured in a game-high 27 points, her tenth 20+ point performance of the season. The Skyhawks were locked in offensively, shooting 49.1 percent from the field and 11-of-24 (.458) from beyond the arc. Taleah Washington led Wagner with 12 points.

New Britain, CT -- Chicago State (7-25) made its postseason NEC debut one to remember. Led by junior center Josie Hill's 21-point, 12-rebound performance, the sixth-seeded Cougars took control in the third quarter and never looked back, upsetting third-seeded CCSU (11-19), 70-60, in quarterfinal action at Detrick Gymnasium. Hill's layup capped a 10-3 run that pushed Chicago State's lead to 40-29 with 4:20 left in the quarter, and the Blue Devils never got closer than six the rest of the way. The Cougars' defense set the tone, holding CCSU to 29.9 percent shooting in the first half and 37.5 percent for the game. Chicago State finished with four players in double figures, including All-NEC second-team freshman Aiyanna Culver, who contributed 16 points and five assists. CCSU was led by Dagny Slomack's 16 points, while NEC Player of the Year Belle Lanpher added 15 before fouling out late.

Loretto, PA -- After making a splash in its NEC debut last season with a run to the title game, fifth-seeded Le Moyne (7-23) showed its postseason poise once again. The visiting Dolphins stormed back in the fourth quarter to knock off fourth-seeded Saint Francis U (11-19), 62-51, in the NEC quarterfinals in Loretto, PA. Trailing by six entering the final frame, Le Moyne found its rhythm at the perfect time while locking down the Red Flash offense. The Dolphins held Saint Francis U to just two points over the final 5:53, closing the game on an 11-2 run and outscoring the Red Flash 23-6 in the quarter. Le Moyne shot a blistering 7-of-11 from the field and 4-of-6 from deep during the late surge. Eli Clark paced a balanced Dolphins offense with 14 points, while second-team All-NEC forward Haedyn Roberts recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Airah Levy led the Red Flash off the bench, knocking down four three-pointers for a team-high 12 points.
