Bridgewater, NJ — For the second time in as many weeks, FDU women’s basketball is ranked among the best Division I mid-major programs in the nation. The Knights checked in at No. 25 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 rankings, which were released on Tuesday evening.

Last week, FDU, which received votes in the organization’s poll in prior weeks, cracked the Mid-Major Top 25 for the first time in program history when they earned the No. 25 spot.

Owning the 18th best winning percentage in the nation (.875) with a 21-3 overall record, the Knights have been red-hot as of late. They enter this week’s slate with a comfortable three-game lead in the NEC standings with an unblemished record 11-0 against conference competitors. In addition, FDU has won 14-consecutive games, a streak that is currently the sixth-longest in the nation.

The Knights unblemished run through the conference has come in commanding fashion. Defeating league foes by an average of 15.9 points per contest, FDU is netting 68.2 points per game while holding opponents to 52.3 points per night. Both of those averages are league-leading marks.

FDU’s hot start marks the best by an NEC team in more than a decade, and the best for the Knights in program history. The last team to have a better overall win percentage through 24 games was Quinnipiac in 2012-13. That season, the Bobcats went 22-2 and went on to close out their banner-raising season with a 30-3 overall record.

The 10th team in conference annals — and the first since Robert Morris in 2019-20 — to go 11-0 to open the league slate, FDU is on the hunt for a 12-0 start when it plays host to Le Moyne on Thursday in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPNU at 5 p.m. Just nine NEC squads have gone 12-0 in league play. In Hackensack this season, the Knights have won 14-in-a-row dating back to last season, and they are one of 28 teams across NCAA Division I to own a perfect record at home with a 12-0 record.
