NEC WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Zuzu Nwaeze, Howard
Sr., Columbia, MD

Nwaeze started her senior season with an impressive performance at the Potomac Relays. The 2025 NEC Outstanding Swimmer guided the Bison to first place finishes in the 200 medley relay, 500 freestyle relay, and the 200 freestyle relay at the event. Nwaeze anchored the 200 medley relay team with a time of 22.99, in addition to her 1:53.50 leg in the 500 free relay and a 23.18 leg in the 200 free relay.

NEC WOMEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK
Gabby Williams, Le Moyne
So., Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville

Williams kicked off her sophomore campaign by helping lead Le Moyne to a second place finish at the Hannah/Gibbons Invite. The Scotia, NY native won the 1-meter dive with a score of 267.25, a new school record. Williams also placed third in the 3-meter dive with a score of 245.35.

NEC WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Grace M. Young, Central Connecticut
Fr., West Hurley, NY/Onteora

Young made her collegiate debut at Army on Setember 25. She swam a 53.73 leg in the 600 freestyle relay, recorded a time of 29.19 in the 50 breaststroke and finished with a time of 24.54 in the 50 free.

NEC MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Lucas Clay, Le Moyne
So., Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker
Clay raced out to an impressive start to his sophomore season at the Hannah/Gibbons Invite. Clay won four of his races and placed second in the other two. The Baldwinsville, NY product won the 200 IM with a time of 1:56.43, and also came out on top in the 50 breaststroke (26.24), 100 free (57.28) and 100 IM (53.49). Clay was also part of Le Moyne's runner-up quartet in the 400 free relay and 200 medley relay.

NEC MEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK
Louis Allison, Le Moyne
So., Queensbury, NY/Queensbury

Allison opened his season at the Hannah/Gibbons Invite with a fourth place finish in the 3-meter dive and a fifth place showing in the 1-,eter dive. The sophomore scored 273.85 points on the 3-meter board and 232.25 in the 1-meter event.

NEC MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Solomon Goins, Howard
Fr., Dallas, TX/Lake Ridge High School

Goins started his collegiate career by aiding the Bison to a pair of fourth place finishes at the Potomac Relays. He swam the second leg of the 800 free relay and posted a time of 1:46.40, and swam the first leg of the 2x500 Freestyle Relay and registered a time of 4:47.92.

  • Open Water 5k, 10th place,  57:50.9 over 5K, Qualified for the CSCAA Open Water National Championships.
  • Swam a 56.96 100 freestyle in a relay
  • 50 freestyle, 10th place, 57.75.
Maggie Rutledge, So., CCSU
  • At CCSU Open Water Festival/Army
  • Qualified for the CSCAA Open Water National Championships with a time of 57:50.9 over 5K.
  • 100 in freestyle relay, personal time of 56.96 
  • 50 free, 10th place, 57.75.
  • Second leg, 2x800 free Relay, personal time of 4:12.71.
