NEC MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Spencer King, Gr., GK, FDU
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada / ILC

King, the 2022 NEC Goalkeeper of the Year, had a remarkable performance in net on Saturday against Villanova. In a 0-0 draw on the road, King posted a career-high 14 saves to neutralize the attack of the Big East foe. In five matches played, the graduate goalkeeper leads the NEC in three goalkeeping categories: goals against average (0.80), save percentage (.871) and shutouts (three). King and the Knights are 2-1-2 in non-conference action and lead the league with the fewest goals conceded (4) and most saves (27).

NEC MEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Joschi Schelb, Fr., F, Saint Francis U
Freiburg, Germany/Angell

Repeating as the NEC Rookie of the Week, Schelb has made a habit of equalizing for the Red Flash. Following a week where the Freiburg, Germany native kept SFU's unbeaten streak alive with a 50th minute equalizer, the rookie forward struck again again last Tuesday. The Red Flash were trailing by a goal in the final minute against Robert Morris and after a series of shot attempts were blocked by the Colonials defense, the ball fell to the foot of Schelb, who faked a shot with his right foot and slotted the game-tying goal with his left into the lower left corner of the frame to salvage a 2-2 draw. Schelb ranks second in the NEC with seven points, consisting of two goals and a league-leading three assists over SFU's 1-0-3 start.
