NEC Baseball Tournament Welcomes Fans in its Return to Norwich 5/19/2021 Click here for Tournament Homepage Somerset, NJ - The Northeast Conference Baseball Tournament is returning to Dodd Stadium this Memorial Day Weekend and fans are welcome to attend. Bryant, Central Connecticut, Sacred Heart and Long Island University will compete in a four-team, double-elimination championship bracket with the winner earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship Regionals. There will be two games per day (12:00 pm; 4:00 pm ET) beginning on Thursday, May 27 and continuing through Saturday, May 29. If necessary, a seventh game will be played on Sunday, May 30, to determine the champion. All attendees must abide by current NEC Championship fan policy, which requires masking and social distancing inside the ballpark. Dodd Stadium provides the backdrop to the NEC’s annual postseason tournament for the seventh consecutive season. The 6,270-seat ballpark opened in 1995. Fan Attendance Guidelines > Spectators will not be permitted to sit near or congregate by the dugouts or behind home plate. > Spectators must adhere to social distancing between groups (families may sit together) and remain masked (covering the nose and mouth) at all times. > Spectators may not interact with student-athletes before, during or after the conclusion of the event. > Tailgating is strictly prohibited.
