Somerset, NJ -- Seeking to defend their league crowns, the Bryant University men and women have claimed the top seeds in the 2016 Northeast Conference (NEC) Tennis Championships, set to commence on Friday, April 22 at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, NJ.  The tournament will be contested over three days in a single elimination format.

Under the direction of three-time NEC Coach of the Year Ron Gendron, Bryant is in the hunt for its third consecutive NEC championship. The Bulldogs ended the regular season a perfect 3-0 against NEC opposition, including a 5-2 win over Fairleigh Dickinson, the tourney's second seed. The Bulldogs have edged the Knights, 4-3, in a pair of classic NEC title matches the last two years.
