The 2002 NEC Defensive Player of the Year continues to dominate games from his middle linebacker position, posting game-high tackle numbers in each of his four games this season. On Saturday, Sentipal rang up 15 tackles (six solo), including two for negative yardage, and recovered a pair of fumbles in Monmouth’s 20-14 win at Stony Brook in a matchup of unbeaten teams. He currently leads the NEC in tackles (13.8/game), solo tackles (8.0/game), tackles for losses (2.5/game) and fumble recoveries (two). Sentipal, a five-time NEC Defensive Player of the Week award winner over the course of his career, also pushed his career tackle total to 277. He needs 22 more stops to move into second place on the Hawks' all-time list.
