Sentipal, the 2002 NEC Defensive Player of the Year and a third team AP All-American, was in rare form on Saturday as Monmouth posted a 24-0 shutout of St. Peter’s in West Long Branch. A fifth-year senior, Sentipal posted a game-high 18 tackles on the afternoon, including five of the solo variety. He also logged three tackles for loss of yardage, one quarterback sack, one pass breakup and one forced fumble as the Peacocks were limited to a mere 17 yards of rushing offense and 217 yards of total offense in the game. In the process, Sentipal moved past Vinnie Sasso and Mike DiBella into fifth place on the Hawks' career tackles list with 240 stops. This marks the fifth NEC Defensive Player of the Week honor of his career.
