A two-time Player of the Week recipient last year, Messenger garners this season’s first honor after leading Sacred Heart to a 1-1 record last week. Messenger scored the Pioneers lone goal in a 1-0 win against Rhode Island. She also scored the team’s only goals in a 4-2 loss to LaSalle at the Hofstra Pride Invitational last weekend. Two of the senior’s goals during the Invitational were unassisted.
