McCavanagh netted the game-winning goal against Sacred Heart last week to keep the Blue Devils 13-game unbeaten streak in tact. The three-time NEC Rookie of the Week redirected a free kick from Kelly Shimmin to score the game-winner in overtime at the 94:43 mark and improve CCSU’s league record to 6-0-1. McCavanagh ranks second on the team in scoring and third in the NEC with 16 points on six goals and four assists.
