Rozen claims the Rookie of the Week award after his exceptional speed helped him score once and set-up another goal in LIU’s 3-1 victory over Iona last Tuesday. With LIU ahead 1-0, Rozen sprinted up the field and was taken down in the box to avoid a sure goal. Teammate Oskar Tilly converted the penalty kick to put the Blackbirds up 2-0, while Rozen later added an insurance goal to put the game on ice for LIU. Rozen, who has scored two goals this season, has been a key contributor to the Blackbirds’ current three-game winning streak.
