Jr., GK, Aberdeenshire, Scotland/Robert Gordon Univ.
Gorski’s stellar play in goal helped LIU post back-to-back shutouts last week, as well as remain tied for first place in the NEC standings. Gorski began the week by recording nine saves versus regionally ranked Lehigh, as LIU battled the Mountain Hawks to a 0-0 draw. He then made one key stop in the Blackbirds’ 4-0 win over Sacred Heart on Sunday, as he stoned the Pioneers’ Carlos Silva on a penalty kick in the 84th minute to preserve the shutout. The native of Aberdeenshire, Scotland currently leads the NEC in shutouts (8) and ranks second in goals against average (0.58) and save percentage (.849).
