Walker earns her first Choice Hotels NEC Player of the Week award this season by putting together two stellar performances last week for the Seahawks and averaging 23.0 points and 14.5 rebounds. The first-team All-NEC performer became the first Wagner women’s player since 1993 to grab 20 rebounds in a game (Michelle Diener, 24) when she pulled down 20 boards in a 71-60 win over Lafayette on Wednesday. The senior also added 26 points, four assists and three blocks in the victory while shooting 9-15 from the field. In Wagner’s second contest, a 67-59 loss at Marquette on Sunday, Walker collected 20 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and three three-point baskets. It gives Walker her third Player of the Week award for her career. She leads the Seahawks in scoring (18.4 ppg) and rebounding (12.2 rpg).
