Wygant was the sole supplier of offense for Central Connecticut in its 2-2 draw with Howard on Thursday. The Blue Devils fell behind 2-0 in the 58th minute, but just four minutes and two Wygant goals later, they were level. In the 60th minute, Wygant emerged from a scramble for the ball and drove the ball into the net and gave CCSU life. Two minutes after that, she hit a sensational strike to make it a brace, finding the top corner of the near post from 26 yards out and equalizing for the Blue Devils. Central Connecticut continues to accumilate points and keep themselves in the thick of the playoff race as the season's halfway mark approaches, sitting at 2-1-1 in league play.
