Last Week’s Stats: 4.08 digs per set, 3.42 points per set, 3.00 kills per set, .165 hitting percentage, 0.77 blocks per set
Samardzija was a workhorse for FDU last week, as the first-year outside hitter stuffed the stat sheet with 4.08 digs, 3.00 kills and 0.77 blocks per set to rack up 44.5 points over four matches. Topping the league charts in digs per set during that stretch, her 53 total digs were also a league-best mark. Samardzija got the weekend off to a solid start after she delivered her first-ever double-double as a collegian on 15 kills and 10 digs in four sets at Columbia on Friday. The Novia Sad, Serbia native turned the double-double trick once again on Saturday when she registered 12 kills and 20 digs in a straight-set win over Iona. Samardzija is the first Knight to earn NEC/Molten Player of the Week honors this season.
