In two appearances in front of the cage last week, van Schoot made 23 saves on 29 shots faced during 113:53 minutes of play. The first-year goalie stopped a career-high 18 stops against Brown on Sunday afternoon with six of them coming on penalty corner chances and a clutch save on a penalty stroke. van Schoot turned away three consecutive shots following the penalty stroke opportunity in a one-minute span on her way to finishing the first half with 11 saves. Her 18-save performance against the Bears marked the most stops by a Bobcat goalie in a single game since September 4, 2011 – almost 15 years to the date. The Netherlands native added five more stops at Bucknell on Friday afternoon. van Schoot finished the week with a .793 save percentage. This marks the second straight week a Quinnipiac athlete has taken home NEC Rookie of the Week accolades.
