Henderson shined in her collegiate debut as the first-year player totaled three points off a goal and an assist in Quinnipiac’s 2-1 victory over Bryant. It marked the Cheltenham, England native’s first score of her collegiate career. Locked in a 1-1 draw, the Bobcats drew a penalty corner about five minutes into the second half. Off the set up from the corner, Julia Lutz fired the ball into the shooting circle where Henderson skipped the ball with her stick above the Bulldog goalie and into the back of the cage for the game-winning goal. About three minutes earlier, Henderson set up Lutz with a pass in the shooting circle, leading to the fellow rookie slashing her way to a score. Henderson is the first Quinnipiac athlete to take home both NEC Offensive Player of the Week and NEC Rookie of the Week honors since Danielle Allan in 2011.
