MacKellar topped the league charts in both points per set and kills per set after she totaled 58.0 and 54, respectively, during New Haven’s season debut at the Holly Young Invitational. In addition to her 4.83 point and 4.50 kill-per-set averages, the Grosse Pointe Woods, MI native contributed 1.58 digs and 0.67 blocks per set over the three-match set. She topped her previous career-best mark of 18 kills, set on Nov. 1, 2025, against Le Moyne, in Friday’s season opener against host-team New Hampshire after she put down 22 kills while her 18-kill effort against Providence on Saturday set the league standard this season for most in three-set match. The senior opposite hitter also delivered a clutch performance in Saturday’s weekend finale. Coming one dig shy of her first double-double of the year, she contributed 14 kills to lead the Chargers past Saint Peter’s in four sets for their first win of the 2026 campaign. MacKellar capped off the weekend by earning All-Tournament Team distinction. This is her first-ever NEC/Molten Player of the Week accolade.
