Rodriguez led Delaware State to a conference series win over Coppin State over the weekend with a monster performance at the plate. The graduate outfielder went 7-for-13 (.538) while smacking four homers, driving in eight runs and scoring six of his own. Rodriguez went yard in every single game against the Eagles, including a two homer-game in the Hornets’ 16-3 victory on Friday. He also added a double, a stolen base and drew a walk throughout the weekend. The Dover, DE native completed the week with a 2.138 OPS off a 1.538 slugging percentage and .600 OBP. Rodriguez is the first Hornet to take home NEC Player of the Week honors since 2024.
