Brewton leaped her way to another top-five jump in the conference at the Gibson Invitational over the weekend. The 2026 Indoor Most Outstanding Field Performer (Jumps) and Most Outstanding Rookie placed fifth in the long jump at the meet with a 6.55m distance, which is fifth in the conference. Her jump is 0.34m short of her previous season-best of 6.00m, which is also at the top of the NEC Performance List. This is the second straight year a Chicago State athlete has been tabbed NEC Rookie of the Week on the outdoor circuit.
