Rhodes tossed two impressive games during an NEC set with Mercyhurst to guide the Chargers to the series win last weekend. In a pair of complete-game efforts, the Ballston Spa, NY native allowed just one earned run on 13 hits for a 0.50 ERA. Rhodes got the weekend going on a solid note on Saturday. Scattering six hits while issuing one walk, the hurler earned her first shutout of the season and led her team to the series-opening 4-0 triumph. On Sunday, the sophomore got the starting nod in the rubber match between the two squads, and she delivered another lockdown performance in an 8-2 victory. Throwing the full 7.0 innings, she allowed two runs — one earned — while conceding six hits to seal the series. Rhodes ranks sixth in the NEC in ERA (5.46) while her .293 opposing batting average is the sixth-best mark in the league. In addition, she is sixth in innings pitched (85.0). This is Rhodes’ second NEC Pitcher of the Week honor of the season, as she previously took home the recognition on March 3.
