McLoughlin did it all at the plate as Wagner won its weekend road series against defending conference champ Central Connecticut. The freshman catcher batted .545 (6-for-11) during the conference series and came up clutch in the Seahawks’ two victories over the Blue Devils. During the thrilling 16-13 series finale win, McLoughlin hit .750, cracked a two-run homer and registered three RBIs. He was Wagner’s only player with at least three hits during the triumph. The Latham, NY native added a 2-for-3 outing during Friday’s 8-2 win. McLoughlin added three runs and a double in the contest. McLoughlin completed weekend play with a 1.509 OPS off a .909 slugging percentage and .600 OBP. This is the fifth consecutive season a Seahawk freshman has been named NEC Rookie of the Week. Wagner currently sits at 9-6 in NEC play.
