Baynes Jr. leaped 15.25m in the triple jump at the Raleigh Relays over the weekend. The junior jumper placed seventh at the meet as his distance lead all NEC athletes. Additionally, the mark is 32nd in NCAA Division I. His new personal record is 0.58 meters longer than his gold medal jump at last season’s NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. This is Baynes Jr.’s first career NEC Field Athlete of the Week honor.
