Goodman stood tall between the pipes for FDU last week to help lead the Knights to a perfect week against NEC competitors. Entering each game in relief after halftime, the Locust Valley, NY native stifled the offenses of New Haven and Howard by allowing just six goals while making 14 saves for a 6.0 goals-against average and .700 save percentage. Against the Chargers on Wednesday, Goodman took over the Knights’ netminder duties with her team leading by a 6-4 count. Limiting New Haven to just two goals in the third and a two-spot in the fourth, the veteran led FDU to the 11-8 home win. Goodman delivered a key performance on Saturday against Howard. With the score knotted up at 5-5 at the break, she conceded just two second-half goals — one in each quarter — to allow the Knights to earn the 8-7 victory. With the wins, FDU improved to 3-1 in NEC play and 7-5 overall, marking the most wins in the history of the fourth-year program. On the season, Goodman ranks second on the circuit with a 9.72 goals-against average, while her .457 save percentage is also good for second.
