Zuhoski had a sensational day in front of goal for LIU when they needed him most. The junior registered five points on four goals and an assist in LIU's 9-7 win over Detroit Mercy on Saturday, helping the Sharks remain unbeaten in conference play. Zuhoski's stepped up big time in the second half, contributing to all three LIU goals. With 8:59 remaining in the fourth quarter with the score tied at seven LIU following a 4-1 Detroit Mercy run, Zuhoski netted his third goal of the game to give LIU the lead for good. Just 38 seconds later, the Riverhead, NY native assisted on teammate Ben McIsaac's goal to put the Sharks up 9-7. LIU would hold that two-goal lead through to the final whistle, securing its fifth consecutive win and improving to 3-0 in the NEC. Zuhoski, who became the third LIU player to win NEC Player of the Week honors, following Cameron Connolly and McIsaac, ranks second in the conference with 3.63 points per game.
