Rekun impressed for Mercyhurst with a 3-0 singles record on the week, mirroring the Lakers' record during that stretch. The senior bested LIU's Bassil Touban (6-4, 4-6, 7-5), Duquesne's Enrique Lana (6-4, 6-3) and St. Bonaventure's Connor Turner (6-2, 6-4) to help Mercyhurst bring their record back to 4-5 on the season and 2-0 in NEC play. All three of those wins came in the top flight. Rekun also added two doubles wins alongside Lucas Cabue Valverde from the No. 2 spot, defeating LIU duo Touban and James Vincent (6-4) and Yu-Shun Lai and Alfano Tancredi (6-1).
