Lockwood, the league’s top scorer and point-getter, adds a league-leading third NEC Player of the Week nod to her résumé. Just one week after she strung together back-to-back four-goal outings in wins at Binghamton (Feb. 25) and Manhattan (Feb. 28), the redshirt junior found the back of the net four more times and helped Le Moyne extend its win streak to three with a 10-7 win over visiting Siena on Saturday (March 7). A local product from Syracuse, Lockwood, who put her team in front by a 6-3 count with her first score of the game 32 seconds before halftime, continued her goal-scoring spree with three more inside the match’s final 23 minutes. Her final tally — an extra-player goal with six seconds to go — secured the 10-7 victory. In addition to her scoring spree, Lockwood contributed two caused turnovers to the Dolphins’ defensive efforts. This season, she leads all NEC goal scorers with 23 strikes and 3.83 goals per game, while her 26 points and 4.33 points per game are also chart-topping numbers in the league. Also scoring wins against Presbyterian (Feb. 15) and Wofford (Feb. 17), Le Moyne ranks first in the league with five non-conference triumphs.
