McDonald caused a season-high three turnovers — including one key stop in crunch time — to help lead FDU to a 10-9 win over visiting Iona on Saturday. With her squad clinging on to a one-goal lead, the Mine Hill, NJ native halted the Gaels’ fourth-quarter comeback bid by forcing a turnover and collecting the ensuing ground ball with 39 seconds remaining. Following a successful clear attempt, FDU milked the clock for the remainder of the contest to come away with its second victory of 2026. In addition to her three caused turnovers, the senior defender picked up two ground balls, which also marks a season-best effort. McDonald is the first FDU player this season to earn a weekly award from the NEC.
